There is no denying the fact that stars hog all media attention, in print or on television. For example, everyone is aware of the rigorous practice routine that Tendulkar went through to become what he is today. A few of you would also know who Dhoni would root for in football world cup.

But how many of you know local heroes? Men and women who have represented their sport at national level. Or sporting academies that groom and nurture such local talent. We believe many of us would not be aware of all these facts. For most of us their achievements are a part of a small column on the last page of a daily newspaper. Interested few know their achievements, but hardly anybody knows them, their stories, their sacrifices and their moments of glory.

We believe that their stories need to be told. Their talent needs to be showcased. We intend to provide a platform for all such budding sportsmen/women. Every sports lover should be aware about the development of all the sports at the grassroots levels. And so we’ll be providing you with this information with interviews, player profiles, information about sporting academies etc. Slowly but surely we shall be enriching our site with all the interesting content. In addition to all the local news we would also cover national and international news items which we feel are neglected by the media. Just to make the website even more informative we have a blogs section where a few of our members express themselves on various topics.

Like most of you, our weekdays are packed with work schedules and other things. Hence we try and update our content over the weekend. And so the information would be updated weekly or fortnightly and not daily as many of you might expect. But we promise to do our best to provide you with a unique insight into local sporting events.
